How a Strict Artist Schedule can Lead to Creative Spontaneity?, or Maybe Not?…

In introducing this Blog, we Seek to find out if a Strict Artist Schedule or Routine can Lead to Creative Spontaneity, or Maybe Not? I search a few Professionals In different areas of Science, as well as Artists, to see if they Agree or disagree, with this Question. I will be Posting in the Blog, Two paintings, that I Art created, using my Spontaneity of Thoughts and Ideas. Let us See the Results?

In the Art Inspiration, Marike Kleynscheldt says, that a Daily Schedule, Fights, her Artists block. The Art Schedule helps, her to Create Playful and thought provoking Still Life’s. Her Art style is Constant and changeable. Some Still life’s, are Playful and bright. Other Art works are Somber and thought provoking. All her art works, are Small and Uniquely Art created.

The Acrylic paints are the Choice for Kleynscheldt, she Tried Watercolors and gouache in High school. Her favorite colours were Acrylics. In her Art works, she works on Capturing the Light and texture, in Art objects, shapes and Colour. Kleynscheldt paints Wet on dry, and likes the Quick drying time of Acrylic paints.

Time to Experiment–Kleynscheldt, advice to painters making a Transition from another Medium to Acrylic, is to make Time to experiment with Acrylic colours, and the Medium. Try different Acrylic brands, with their level, of Gloss and opacity. Buy and work, with the Highest Quality paints and Canvases.

Working from References–choose Materials and objects that Inspire you, and do Work from your Photographs, so that you can Change, the Lighting and the position of the Scenery.

More Personal than a Photograph–Kleynscheldt, says a painting, is more Personal than a photograph. A painting is about Feeling and Expressing yourself, through Colour and Texture.it tells you, when to Keep on painting, and when Too stop. She thinks, Paintings should be Beautiful, and most Importantly, a painting should give the Audience an Emotional connection, through the, Art creation.

Attack Artists Block–Kleynscheldt’s, Method to avoid painters Block. She plans her Next painting, before her Current one is Finished, this keeps her, Art creative Motivated. She makes the Effort to be careful not to Fall into a Art Rut. With her Still Life’s, she Limits the number of Paintings, she Completes of a Subject.

To Shake Things up-Kleynscheldt, believes Artists should move Forward, into whatever Challenges them as an Artist. Also what feels New and exciting. Saying that, when you Feel stuck, you need to Get out, of Your Comfort zone. Change the Project, the Medium, the Props and the Canvases…

Futuristic City. Mixed Media. Marie. Crimi. 2021…

In conclusion, Marike Kleynscheldt is a Self taught Artist, from Cape Town, in South Africa. She concludes her Argument, saying, that it is all in the Emotional connection, between, the Painting and the Viewer.

In the Science of Structure–it says, Why? Your Routine is Killing Your Creativity?

Meg Selig of Psychology Today, writes, that a Routine is Nothing more than a Series of Habits. We follow habits with the Intention of making Our Lives easier. Yet, we Never stop to Think about how Limiting, Habits might be? Actually Routines, let you go on Auto pilot, and You regardless, Accomplish your goals.

Annie Murphy Paul, says that, the way we spend our Mornings is Anti-counter, to what Neuroscientists and Cognitive Psychologists, tell us Promote flexible, open Minded thinking. Paul, says that a Strict Routine, will result in a Building, Up of stress, because you feel the Pressure, to Meet the demands of the Routines–Deadlines.

According to Tierney, he says, that Humans should follow a Routine of Complete and Full of Spontaneity. That is NO Routines at all. Tierney believes for Success, in the Material world, both the Internal, and relative to the Real world, you must Try, but Not too Hard… because too Much of Anything, can Never be Good?

Why Spontaneity is your friend?, and How to Embrace it–Sean Parshad, says that Friends come and go, but that Spontaneity, will last a Lifetime, Adding benefits, to your Whole Life. Life is Random in Nature, Adding to life, will Enrich your Life, and make it Feel more, Unpredictable and Yet Engaging? and that, the Very Staff of life, is what makes Random events more Interesting. The lesson is, that no Matter, what it is You Really want to do, the Time to get Started is now. There is No Wrong moment to have a Novel experience, no Wrong moment to Start to really Live… So get out There, and learn to Make the Unfamiliar, familiar. Your Brain, Body, and Soul will Thank you, For it.

The Colours– Three elements that are Very important, to Colours, are, in the way, as an Artist you use the Colours, their Hue, value and intensity…

The explanation for these are–Hue is the Colour. Value is the Hue’s lightness or darkness, and changes when White or black is added to the Colour, YOU Choose. Intensity is the Aspect of the Brightness and Purity of  a colour. High Intensity Colours are, bold and bright. Low Intensity colours are Faint and dull…

The Mask-Carnivale in Venice.  Watercolour.  Marie. Crimi.  2020.

In the above painting, the Mask… the Watercolours I have used in this painting are the Creative Watercolours. The Watercolours are Alive, Bright colours, they give a texture, of a Colourful refined, and Gorgeous occasion. This can be sensed, and gives you the, urgent need to touch this painting.  This painting uses the Hue, which represents the Colours, and the Value factor, of both Light and darkness of colours. Finally, the Intensity shows perfectly, the Boldness of the bright colours. Their are Faint parts of colour, in this painting, which further gives the Intensity of Calmness and mystery, to this painting.  We can agree that Colour is a Highly Determining Factor in any ART Creation?…

Rose Tattoo Girl and Japanese Girl.  Watercolours.  Marie. Crimi.  2020.

SDC11035 (1)

In the above painting Rose Tattoo Girl and Japanese Girl, is made using the Anko Watercolours, and we can see that the effect of the Hue and Colours, are very Low, faint and Dull. Actually these colours, have their own amazing impact, too. I notice these Colours although of no significance, do Draw appeal to the paintings, by Appearing well Proportioned, interesting and very Professional. I think it is safe to say, that maybe different types of colour medium, the Watercolours in both the above paintings, which are produced by entirely different Manufacturers, do make a Big Difference to Art Work, and to their Art Audience’s Appeal. People are attracted, to Art Creations for different reasons.

The Form–Is, for Painters and draftsmen, the Element of art, which makes a Three-dimensional form, into a Two dimensional Form. This is the Heart of an Art object, it can show a Volume, includes Height, Width and Depth. An example is a Cube, a sphere, a cylinder and a pyramid, these are All examples, of different objects. Remember that Objects, can be formless–that is Abstracted or free flowing.

The Line–Marks made on a Page are called lines. Starting at a Point, and moving further along, Creating space, the lines move around on the paper. Lines can be a Two dimensional or three dimensional, which describe the form, it can be Abstract or implied. You can create a series of Parallel lines to Show a form–The technique is called Hatching. Cross hatching show, more than One set of lines, which lie on top off each other, which show off, a Model, and also show off the Tone, of an Object.

The shape–This element is Two dimensional, either Flat or limited to height and width. Usually it is a Shape, which is an enclosed, structure.

The Space–Is the Element of art, in which Both Positive and negative areas are Defined. This is where a Sense of depth is achieved, in an Art Creation.

The Texture–This Aspect of art, shows how an Art object or an element in a Composition feels, check out–(https://www.artistsnetwork.com/art-mediums/watercolour/7-tools-for-texture-in-watercolour/).  The look of this, is how it would feel if you were to touch it.

The Principles of Art–The elements of Art are your Tools?…Then the Principles of Art, Are How you combine These Tools together, to work in Creating a Genius, Unique Art Creation. This is where the Style, of the Art uses the mediums, (TOOLS) – to create, Rhythm, harmony, balance, contrast, variety, movement, and Proportion, in the Art Creation.

Half Face, Full Face, Fancy Leaves, Stylised Trees.  Watercolours.  Marie. Crimi.  2020.

SDC11038 (1)

This above painting, Half Face, Full Face… Is made in Watercolours, the Datto Colours, the Colours seem to be Lifeless colours and to give Low appeal to the Painting.  When we look Closer at this Art Creation, we can see that the Applying of the colours in Lightness, and then Working over colours, gives the appearance of a Unique Art Creation, that actually Appears to the Observer, as Highly Interesting, and engaging, and Has Excellent, Professional Determination… Also The Shapes of the Faces, and then the Leaves and lastly the trees, are an Amazing way to have made, this Unique and Genius Example, of a Highly Appealing Art Work. I Notice, that the Medium are one part of the Artwork , and also the Artists ideas and Thought processes, she uses to Make an Original Unique Art creation Each time?..

Leaves from the Autumn, of Life… .   Acrylics.   Marie. Crimi.  2020.

SDC11031

In the above Painting,   Leaves, from the Autumn of Life… Is made in Anko Acrylic Paints, on Watercolour, Acid free, Creative Paper. The next paragraph explains, what this painting is about, and why and how?, it is made the way it is.

The painting, uses the Principles of Art, which are the TOOLS, which are a Combination of  Repetition of Plants, in this case represent my family, members. It uses different mediums, which gives the impression of an amazing landscape, a plant landscape. It has a Rhythm, continuity, through the painting, which gives Harmony and flow over the whole page. This gives to the Art Creation, Pure JOY?,  there Is, NO, Monotony? or chaos, in this Original, Unique, Genius Art Work. Colours are a few Bright colours, also the low Intensity colours, like so much Black and other Dark colours, actually, Work in Combination and the painting, is Excellent… To be honest, I am very surprised, it has turned out so good, I hope you like too?…

Let me Explain these Principles–Rhythm, describes the Combination of a Variety, of mediums or Tools, which are Put on the page, to Create a Visual, landscape, which gives the Vision and the scope, to the Art Creation. Harmony is when Elements of an artwork are combined in a Synergistic way. Some Look, and feel similar, but there is no Monotony or chaos. Only the Perfect combining of the two or more Mediums. Purely for the Joy OF, appealing, to the Artist’s Audience. Balance is all about combining The Art Elements, to add a Feeling of stability, which are achieved, Both, through Symmetry and Asymmetry.

In Contrast–The Artists will combine Elements, to give those similar Elements as a whole piece.  In Movement, the look and feeling give an, action feeling to the Art Creation. This is made by varying lines, and in the repetition of the Elements, also the use of Gestural mark making among many other methods… In Pattern, The same repetition of an element of art or in a combination of Elements. Remember anything can be turned into a pattern by using the method of Repetition. Where in Proportion, the Elements and Principles determine the Relationship of the Elements, on the Art Paper. We acknowledge that Variety is the Combining, in Using, the variety of, Colours, Sizes and shapes in an Original work of Art.
